Background
Essential safety requirements 3.1.2 of the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU requires that for pressure equipment in categories II, III and IV, operating procedures and personnel shall be approved by a competent third party which, at the manufacturer’s discretion, may be at notified body or RTPO.
HPiVS (Ireland) Ltd is notified body accredited to approve procedures and personnel.
Harmonised standards for welding and brazing
The directive requires that to carry out these approvals, examinations and tests must be performed as set out in the appropriate harmonised standards (or equivalent examinations and test).
